    I would just like to give a heads up on a couple out of several experiences I’ve had with a company I was with for almost 2 years (waaay to long). I wish someone would have posted something like this as a warning as to the turmoil I would be heading for if I chose them. I had Terracom, (which I also discovered is a sister company of yourtel for your information). If they work the same way you are just outta luck. Recently they sent me an “upgraded” phone, and from the first day it was defective. I called them the same day I got it and basically they said “to bad”. They would not fix or replace it without me giving them another 50 dollars for another phone. Keep in mind this was the same day I got it. I briefly limped around with it for a very short time until it wouldn’t charge anymore. I was stuck. I had ads in the paper (with no phone) etc. and their only solution to me was, again, “upgrade” to another phone for 50. more dollars! This is so typical of this company. I’ve had SEVERAL various issues with this company since the beginning and I don’t ever think I’ve seen worse customer service! I’ve also called during the day on several occaisions where I got a message that they weren’t taking calls at this time leaving me high and dry. When I lost my phone and “upgraded” the 1st time, it took them 6 weeks to get my phone to me. It was blank promise after blank promise. Each person I talked to was clueless why I didn’t have a phone and would give me more blank promises. It was also SO frustrating when I did talk to them because they were from India or somewhere and their English was HORRIBLE! I have so many more instances where they proved nothing but incompetence! Needless to say, I have now dropped them like a hot potato! (which I should’ve done so much earlier!) It is the most worthless, joke of a company I’ve EVER seen! I’m just giving you a courtesy heads up, but make your own decision. Just sayin’.

    Read Sharon’s note above. I had the same experience with “Trusewless” Broken promises one after another! Customer service in India. Every time I called I got a person that didn’t or wouldn’t speak English I could understand. If you fine a good lifeline company let me know,,,PLEASE

    I have true wireless also..but I went and bought a cheap, but good android phone and put the sim in it.. never have had a problem since. They are slow at anything they do I found out…took me 3 months to ever get service to begin with.

    I am trying to get an up dated cell phone from asst wireless. I called the 611 number two times. and one person said they could mail me out a new phone and the other says i have to go to the wireless store. I would like to have one mailed to me at my new address. how do i get the to understand this? or get them to mail me a new phone? I have had this one for almost three years. I was told that they did send me one but to the old address.

    ASSIST / TERRACOM , BOTH NIGHTMARES ! AS SENIOR W/ LOW INCOME / EYE DISABILITIES, ALWAYS STRUGGLING W / THESE PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY CUSTMR SUPPORT.IN STORE PERSONNEL RUDE , VAGUE ,DISRESPECTFUL. TRY TO DISMISS ANYONE ASKING FOR CLARIFICATIONS.THESE COMPANIES SET-UP TO SIMPLY ” MILK ” USA GOV’T / TAXPAYERS .VICIOUS CIRCLE OF FRUSTRATION.SEND YOU JUNK-REFURBISHED PHONES ,THEN YOU SPEND HOURS WAITING FOR TECH SUPPORT ,CHARGED FOR ” OTHER-UPGRADE ” PHONE ,& THEIR CHARGERS,BATTERIES,ETC.NOT SERVICEABLE. I FINALLY FILED COMPLAINT W /FCC ABOUT BOTH !
