Several times when I’ve had to use it I was told that I needed additional minutes, was never able to speak to a human and gave up. Each and every cell phone you will get from Assurance Wireless will be the very sorriest quality piece of shit cell phone ever made. Even by the sloppy Chinese standards, they are crap. Also, your cell phone will have an ENDLESS number of junk coming in constantly, and there is no way to prevent it. Even if you were allowed to bring your own phone to the Virgin Mobile website, it will NOT permit you to have a really nice phone, like one of the cheaper models of the Samsung line. They will allow you to bring some phones, other than the other crap they sell on their website, but the list is very limited, and for the most part, the phones are every bit as shitty as the ones on the Assurance Wireless website’s list. I realize this program was designed for the poor who cannot sign up for a lengthy and expensive wireless network, or afford a new iPhone for a little over $1,000. But the reality of the situation is this : When you qualify, they will send you either a very old fashioned flip phone, or if you’re really lucky, a small Smart phone, but again….they are cheap-ass phones and will break, malfunction, or simply not do the job. I would suggest that you go to WalMart, select one of their cheaper brand-name phones, and select a pre-paid option, which should not cost more than $30 a month. For all you thugs who are using this cheap gubbamijnt phone to sell dope, know this: You ARE being tracked, and the government KNOWS where you are, and has a record of each and every phone call and text message.
